Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, women faced unrealistic expectations to do or be it all. This past year, however, has brought increasing pressures from blurred home-work boundaries, job losses, childcare and schooling challenges — creating all-time high stress levels. For today’s women, it’s not about being a superhero; it’s about being the best you can be and bringing energy and focus to the things you love most.
In this session, interim CEO of the UCF Foundation Karen Smith Cochran speaks to how you can prioritize wellbeing through mindfulness, self-compassion and inner strength. Cochran, a veteran executive and mom, shares stories from her 20-plus years at varying leadership levels and tips from her own professional, personal and self-care journey.
By watching this session, you can expect to learn how to:
- cultivate practical self-care activities.
- empower and support other women.
- appreciate the journey.
This program is presented by Karen Smith Cochran and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
