Most of us consider the “sweaty” part of our fitness routine this most impactful on our health, but did you know that a successful workout happens before, during and after your actual time spent in the gym? The food and drink we ingest during those times becomes our fitness fuel, and is almost as important as the movement of our workout themselves. In this virtual presentation, Bri-Ana Johnson, fitness specialist for the Crosby Wellness Center at the Center for Health & Wellbeing, provides recommendations on the intake you need to properly fuel before, during and after your workout.

By watching this program, you can learn the basics of macronutrients and micronutrients and how to differentiate between the two. Johnson also discusses the importance of hydration and other helpful habits you can easily put into practice in your everyday life.

This program is presented by Bri-Ana Johnson and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
