Did you know that a good diet of necessary nutrients can not only reduce the likelihood of heart disease, but energize you? In this cooking demonstration, Edible Orlando’s Kendra Lott and Katie Farmand teach simple cooking techniques and tips for heart-healthy cooking. In this program, Lott and Farmand make two simple and savory recipes using fresh ingredients; featured dishes include Tomato Salad with Walnut Pesto and One-Pot Braised Chicken with Cabbage. Purchase ingredients and cook along at home while watching this program. Cooking with heart health in mind is as easy as it is delicious!

About Kendra Lott
Kendra Lott, publisher of Edible Orlando, is the author of “Unique Eats and Eateries of Orlando.” Lott has a Master’s degree in Food Studies from New York University and a Master Nutrition Certification from UF/IFAS Seminole County Extension.

About Katie Farmand
Katie Farmand, editor of Edible Orlando, is a food stylist and recipe developer. She is an Orlando native who grew up eating backyard citrus and tomatoes in the springtime. Farmand holds a Master’s degree from the University of Florida. She began her career at various national magazines, including Family Circle and Cottage Living, before returning back home to Florida.
