Originally aired on August 17, 2020: You know exercise is good for your body, but did you know movement is also good for your brain? In this program, you’ll learn to improve your memory, creative skills and ability to cope by adding healthy moves to your life. As you move your body, your brain becomes stronger, you create new neural networks, stimulate new connectivity, strengthen existing blood vessels and repair damaged vessels. This leads to a sense of overall wellbeing and opens a world of health opportunities as we improve our cognitive health.
About Your Program Presenter
Beth Morris is a graduate of the University of Florida and has taught group exercise classes throughout her 20-year career as a Fitness Professional. She completed a 200-hour Yoga training at Full Circle in Winter Park and has taught yoga for 10 years. She has worked as a Health Coach, Diabetes Prevention Facilitator and as a Cancer Survivor Fitness Coach in a program called, Livestrong. She is currently the Medical Integration Manager at Crosby Wellness Center bridging the gap for those with medical concerns returning to a healthy lifestyle.
